This illustration was developed for "The Spectorial," a student journal collective at the University of Toronto that focuses on speculative fiction. The narrative, authored by Miran Tsay, follows a character named Minami as she tales her observations of a fictional creature known as “sweethearts.” Throughout the summer, Minami elaborates on their characteristics and behaviors while she copes with the season's heat by indulging in sweet beverages and sitting uncomfortably in front of slow-moving fans.
