This piece a feature in the Material Magazine at Rotman Commerce, UofT!

In this piece, I aimed to capture the bustling energy of a subway ride by highlighting the variety of people and sounds that coexist in that environment. The illustration showcases a diverse group of individuals, each engaged in their own activities, from reading and listening to music to chatting with fellow passengers.

To extenuate noise in the subway, I used a mix of vibrant colors and dynamic lines to convey movement and liveliness. The background features swirling patterns and overlapping shapes to represent the cacophony of sounds that one might encounter in such a setting. The characters are depicted with exaggerated expressions and gestures to emphasize the different levels of noise they contribute to the overall ambiance.
